In the spirit of New Year's Eve, we decided to do a NYE themed pop. Again, we didn't use a recipe, just our creativity! We mixed Passion Fruit Mojito Mix with Champagne (equal parts) and added in some fresh crushed raspberries.
What we found is that the alcohol takes a bit longer to freeze. We gave it about 30 min before eating. And voila...picture below!
Other tip is that the raspberries didn't fall to the bottom as we'd hoped. I suppose the popsicles freeze too quickly for natural gravity to take part. Nonetheless, they were pretty good!
Happy New Year Everyone!!!!!
had you read the manual it says to use alcohol sparingly because it doesn't freeze. :-)

ReplyDeleteThis alcoholic issue reminded me why the "ice packs" I make in the office are so cold. I mix water with a little bit of alcohol. They say alcohol freezes a -114 Celsius and -174 F. The "proof" of an alcoholic drink is twice the % of alcohol. 100% proof has 50% of alcohol. They look delicious. Maybe we could place the fruit way at the bottom first, let it stick and then add the mix.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
Looks yummy! Happy New Year!
